Letters Mother Teresa wanted deleted have been published. They reveal she had been questioning her faith:

What do I labor for?” she asked in one letter. “If there be no God, there can be no soul. If there be no soul then, Jesus, You also are not true.”

Clearly she was a hero, she kept doing what she did even though deep down she wasn’t sure there was even a God.
